Macro

Macro photography is, without a doubt, my most favorite form of photography. By definition, per adobe.com, "macro photography is all about showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life – an extreme close-up of something small." Macro photography is typically done on a table top in a controlled environment. Most obvious benefits are that you are no longer at the mercy of mother nature, the wind is no longer a factor, and you are in complete control of the lighting and the relative position of the subject to the camera. One of the biggest results is being able to view details of the subject that are generally overlooked or simply not apparent in normal size.
