Baked Chicken Wings
Intro and Overview…
Generally, we prefer to use the air fryer when making wings. Given its limited capacity, however, baking chicken wings is the best solution when we want to prepare a larger quantity in a single batch.
Whether air-fried or baked, chicken wings are an ever-popular sports bar and game day food. And when it comes to seasoning, some restaurant offering range from the most basic to near nuclear. In fact, Buffalo Wild Wings lists over two dozen sauces on its menu.
Yeah, whatever. As for me, I like the taste of the chicken, more so than the sauce, and I definitely like to feel my lips after I am done eating the wings.
Stuff You Need…
- 2 – 3 lbs. Chicken Wings, split with tips removed
- 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
- Salt & Pepper and/or…
- Your Favorite Chicken Rub or Seasoning
And Then…
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, toss the wings with melted butter until well coated.
Arrange the coated wings in a single layer, skin side up, on the parchment paper. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper or your favorite chicken seasoning.
Bake the wings until they are cooked through and their skin is browned and crispy, about 40 minutes. For extra-crispy skin, lower the oven temperature to 170 degrees and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes.
